Who are we?

The Mable Gaskin Charitable Foundation was founded and established in 2025 as a private family foundation focused exclusively on the sustainability of the community. The foundation was inspired by Mable Gaskin, the matriarch of the family, who was a woman of deep compassion and opened both her heart and her home to the Drax Hall Jump Community in Barbados. This foundation was created to carry on her legacy by continuing to support and give back to her beloved community.

OBJECTIVES
The objective of the Foundation are:

To bring hope, compassion, empathy, and goodwill to individuals to empower them to improve their circumstances; and
To enhance the capacity of community members who face significant challenges resulting from life-altering events, including but not limited to property loss, natural disasters, and health issues.

Vision Statement
”To build hope, compassion, empathy and goodwill in the community, during times of economic uncertainty, which is a reality faced in all Barbadian homes. The Foundation hopes to inspire others to give back and promote the point that the charity is about community”.

Our Mission

The mission of the Foundation is to be a light in a narrow tunnel. Through charitable efforts such as community drives, monetary and non-monetary donations, fundraisers and community outreach programs, the Foundation strives to be a beacon of hope for people of all ages.
